Laurel Pugliese and Andrew Thrash ended 2016 with a bang at  their New Year’s Eve wedding at the historic Hall of State at Fair Park! After a wonderful ceremony in front of friends and family, guests transitioned to a festive cocktail hour to begin their celebration of Laurel and Andrew’s wedding and New Year’s Eve. The historic venue was replete with beautiful flowers designed by Garden Gate Floral. The arrangements featured white hydrangeas with various hues of roses including a deep wine color rose that corresponded with the bridesmaid dresses. The gold seal and beautiful lighting featured at Hall of State created a festive and beautiful environment for the reception—softened by the white draping by Quest.  Laurel and Andrew joined their guests at the reception, beginning with their first dance as newlyweds. After dances with their parents, guests were treated to fabulous fare by Food Glorious Food while Cuvee played festive dinner music.  For dessert, guests noshed on fabulous cake by Panini Bakery.  The bride’s cake featured six tiers of white cake with gold accents, with a floral detail on top. The bride’s cake was simple yet festive and served as a beautiful detail in the room. The groom’s two-tiered chocolate cake was simply decorated with the University of Virginia’s seal.  After cake cutting, Cuvee kept the dance floor packed as guests spent the last moments of 2016 celebrating the newlyweds. The traditional New Year’s Eve garb of hats, glasses and boas were passed out to guests as the countdown to 2017 rapidly approached. It was in the first moments of the New Year that Laurel and Andrew departed their reception in a sea of sparklers to begin a new chapter of their lives. This wedding was not only the perfect start to the New Year, but served as a fitting celebration to launch Laurel and Andrew’s new chapter of wedded bliss. We could not have accomplished this beautiful evening without the help of the wonderful vendors, as well as Laurel’s fun vision she had for her wonderful wedding.
