Callie and Nash’s beautiful August wedding was one for the books! We loved how Callie incorporated so much color into all areas of her wedding–from the decor, the flowers, bridal party dresses and accessories, everything flowed seamlessly to create a classic, but festive look! After getting ready in her parent’s home, Callie and Nash shared their first look before departing to the church with their wedding party. After a touching ceremony, guests gathered at the Belo in downtown Dallas to begin the celebration! No detail was left overlooked–from the custom menu cards to the hanging candles outside, the space had been carefully crafted to fit the theme of a summer wedding in Texas! Garden Gate’s colorful flowers made the space absolutely pop, especially the hot pink trees that were scattered throughout the ballroom. After guests noshed on delicious fare provided by the Belo, guests were treated to two delicious cakes. The groom’s cake from Panini was appropriately University of Texas themed, complete with a chocolate outline of the Austin skyline! Callie’s cake, by Mesero, featured six layers of the best cuatro leches cake. To mirror the rest of the decor, the Bride’s cake was simply decorated with hot pink and orange flowers. After cake cutting, BRW out of New Orleans got the party started early and had guests dancing the entire evening. As a special surprise to Callie and Nash, who both graduated from UT, the University of Texas alumni band entered the ballroom playing “Texas Fight”, among many others. After a special toast to the couple from a past president of the University, the party continued well into the evening. Towards the end of the night, Balls Hamburger’s famous “Little Leaguers” and fries were passed around as a late night snack. After a festive sendoff (complete with Eatzis cookies as a departure gift!), Callie and Nash departed in Nash’s truck which had been appropriately decorated with a slew of sunflowers.
