Allyson Gump and Brent Yost were married on a beautiful May afternoon at Highland Park United Methodist Church, followed by a reception at Northwood Club. After meeting through a running club at White Rock Lake, Brent and Ally went on to train and compete in numerous marathons together over the course of their relationship, including ones New York, San Francisco and Boston. On their five year anniversary, Brent popped the question to Ally at the Dallas Arboretum and, after she said yes, immediately started planning their dream wedding! After saying “I Do” in front of friends and family during an intimate ceremony, Brent and Ally joined their guests at the Northwood Club for an evening of dinner and dancing. April Bosworth, a friend of the newlyweds, designed elegant centerpieces filled with cream and pink roses, hydrangea and lilies. The arrangements, combined with the addition of tea candles scattered throughout the ballroom at Northwood, was revamped into a romantic and intimate setting perfectly fitting for Brent and Ally’s reception. After a touching toast by Ally’s father, the couple shared their first dance surrounded by their bridal party, who had been introduced upon entering the ballroom before the Bride and Groom’s formal dance. Taking advantage of the spring evening, the patio was open for guests—giving everyone an opportunity to enjoy the warm weather and overlook the beautiful golf course. After a delicious dinner, Brent and Ally toasted with champagne and cut the wedding cake. Easley’s Desserts concocted not only a beautiful cake, but a delicious one as well! Dotted with flowers and pearls, the five-tiered cake featured a lemon cake studded with strawberries and topped with a delicious buttercream icing. Brent, who opted out of a groom’s cake, treated guests to his favorite dessert of homemade bread pudding and vanilla ice cream. After dessert, glow in the dark glasses, necklaces and bracelets were passed out to guests who immediately packed the dance floor, thanks to the sounds by the Special Edition Band. Playing some of the couple’s favorite songs, the dance floor remained full the remainder of the evening. As a memento, TagMeBro’s photobooth, allowed guests to print out two photos: one to keep and the second to put into a photo album for the newlyweds. The photo album was quickly filled with photos and congratulatory notes, a fun and memorable keepsake that Brent and Ally will always enjoy! As guests filed out of the reception, Brent and Ally were left to share a special dance with each other, giving them a moment to themselves to reflect on the wonderful day. After leaving through a tunnel of sparklers, the newlyweds hopped into a vintage car and departed for their honeymoon. After a two week trip throughout Europe, the couple will live in Dallas! Congratulations, #brally!!
