Joe Bumpas and Lizzie Weeks were married in front of friends and family at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at Brook Hollow Golf Club. This beautiful wedding had so many intricate and wonderful details, starting with Lizzie’s stunning dress, designed by Austin Scarlett. Several weeks prior to the wedding, Lizzie got to meet the designer at Neiman Marcus downtown, where he personally signed her dress. After the touching ceremony, guests headed to Brook Hollow Golf Club for an outdoor cocktail reception featuring the couple’s favorite cocktails, including mini mambo taxi margaritas! Lizzie had a vision for the lush and romantic fall color palette used throughout her ceremony and reception. Inside the ballroom at Brook Hollow, Garden Gate Floral captured Lizzie’s vision, creating centerpieces with white and green hues, adding pops of purple and deep pinks. Printed menus by Ellis Hill were placed at each seat, while the head tables featured white, linen napkins with the couple’s new monogram. As a nod to their dogs, silhouettes of dachshunds made from greenery were seen jumping over the groom’s cake and on tables throughout the room. The dogs also made an appearance on the groom’s cake and on frosted cups passed out to guests throughout the evening. After sharing their first dance as husband and wife, Lizzie, Joe and their guests enjoyed dinner while listening to the sounds of Signed Sealed Delivered. Cakes, made by Panini Bakery, were served as dessert for family and friends to enjoy. The Bride’s cake featured five tiers decorated in a lattice pattern, accented with ivory flowers. The Groom’s cake featured two tiers of chocolate cake, decorated with chocolate silhouettes of their dogs. As a special treat for the newlyweds and as an homage to Lizzie’s artistic background, a painter sat in the ballroom, creating a custom painting of the reception for Lizzie and Joe to cherish for many years to come. Signed Sealed Delivered kept the dance floor packed all night playing a variety of the couple’s favorite songs. After dancing to one last song, “Pink Cadillac” by Bruce Springsteen, Lizzie and Joe ran through a tunnel of sparklers to a red Cadillac waiting to take them on their honeymoon! We had so much fun working with this sweet couple and their families—it’s always special to work with a bride who had such a clear and beautiful vision for her wedding and watch it come to life! Cheers, Mr. and Mrs. Bumpas!
